We redesign discarded plastic into furniture and tableware for kids and grown-ups, produced with our patented recycling process and unique material, ecothylene®. Combining innovative design with social and environmental responsibility, ecoBirdy has been recognized by numerous certifications, international awards and museums.

ecoBirdy was founded in 2018 in Antwerp by Vanessa Yuan and Joris Vanbriel who come from different cultural backgrounds. After gaining professional experience in diverse fields of the international fashion and design industry, they realized that they share a vision to create solutions for environmental problems using innovative technologies.

Their two-year study on materials resulted in a recycled and recyclable plastic material named ecothylene®. After the creation of this patented upcycling process, ecoBirdy was launched with its debut collection of children’s furniture made from discarded plastic toys. Shortly thereafter, it received multiple international awards for its innovative design and sustainable approach.
